Incarnation I
Since I posted that weird picture of Malloy before, it’s only right that I post my favorite image of her. This is Malloy at 18.
After allowing it to be displayed for years, the art gods at Model Mayhem suddenly banned this image because “you had too much (or too little) of sump’n sump’n in the following photo.” Now who could possibly argue with that?

My favorite sports shot from the mid 70s, when I was photographer for the Phoenix Racquets, local pro tennis team. This is Tony Roche, our Aussie coach. Not the greatest quality image. Scanned from an old print.
Rebecca shoots the photographer. But just try to keep your eyes off of those boobs (Vassanta’s).

Carlotta says that she and I rarely like the same images. I guess she’s right. I think she has liked maybe four out of the literally tens of thousands of images I have made of her over the last five years. Here I’m posting a few more from our shoot in April. This means that she almost certainly does not like these.

I give my buddy Chuck a hard time about his photography. We generally never agree on the same images that we like, we disagree about editing styles, lighting styles, heck we basically disagree about everything. I joke sometimes that we were married… and divorced in a previous life because we bicker during our shoots so much. Despite that, I have to say that Chuck frequently captures a very natural side of me when we shoot and does get some very nice portraits.
I hope you all enjoy :)
The Arizona Shootout is a twice annual event held out in the dusty AZ desert, where a bunch of voyeurs (photographers) gather with a group of exhibitionists (models) to have fun and maybe, just maybe, make some art. Since Phoenix had already had its first 100-degree day of the season, who would have ever guessed that Mother Nature would choose that weekend to give us a day that didn’t even break 50? Hence this first picture of the models, not looking much like exhibitionists, huddled around the campfire (well, the modern version). They were all extremely good sports, although this may be the only time that day that Carly smiled.
If this shot doesn’t warm you up, then maybe some of the following will. So-so photographer, but truly great models.
